cecilia
aguiar-curry
state representative
california (incumbent)
biography
Cecilia has a track record of getting things done, as a businesswoman, Planning Commissioner, City Council Member, the first woman Mayor of Winters, and a regional leader on issues like water and transportation. As Mayor, Cecilia’s been working to secure computers for every 6th-grader in the city, bridge the digital divide by bringing broadband to rural communities, build a state of the art senior housing development, and establish an ag innovation hub in Yolo County.
priorities
building strong economies
Building a strong local economy and ending poverty in District 4 means encouraging economic development, job creation and entrepreneurship. We need to create the kind of good-paying jobs that help build a strong middle-class.
protect agriculture
We need a representative that will fight to preserve the natural beauty of our District, while also being a strong voice for agriculture in the legislature.
education
Cecilia’s dad was a 30-year, high school ag teacher, so she has a real respect for teachers and the challenges facing our public schools. We need to make California’s public education system once again the envy of the nation.
